The product's built-in DHCP client would not fetch an IP address automatically from a known-working DHCP server on both wireless and wired connections and I was forced to hard code a static IP address AND Gateway (router) address AND DNS server addresses

As many others have done, I stewed on this player for two generations, waiting for the internet/Netflix issues to be addressed or at least become less frequently complained about

The auto-setup provided the wrong IP address and after manual correction there was inconsistent (at best) connectivity with wifi

I do not know if these issues will be addressed by Panasonic in a firmware update, but I guess that is a possibility.

I've had this receiver hooked up for about a week and it seems to play all of the movies i've recorded and non HD movies,I don't know if i'm seeing things,but it seems to bring the full quality out of a non HD disc,when it comes to Blue ray discs,i'm very happy with the quality on those,there so clear and sharp,as for the wifi updates i'm not sure as i'm in the process of trying to get the wifi
