All in all the is great player and at a great price when I purchased it (under a hundred dollars).
It has all the features you need, WiFi, Apps, and 3D for a great price!
Quibbles about legacy devices and player styling aside the video performance and the general capabilities of the unit are first rate and the price is hard to beat
Price was right cheaper than a competitor & we watched more movies these daysthen we use to
For the record, if price is not an issue, I suggest one consider the OPPO product; I replaced a Sony Blu-ray within my primary theater set-up with the OPPO and noticed a dramatic improvement in both audio and visual quality.
No setup hassles and accommodates internet access, Netflix, Amazon, and anything
Easy setup didn't appear so easy to me at first but works great
It's fast, easy setup, controls are simple and the wifi works great.
Most of the negative reviews seemed to centered around more complex setups and since complex installations go hand in hand problems ( Murphy's Law, he loves the fearless), I wrote the complaints off to over engineering the installation
Easy setup didn't appear so easy to me at first but works great
Since I don't have a "Smart" TV, this player provides the internet services
I have a smart TV and the apps available are much more extensive
I finally settled on the Panasonic as it has a full app lineup (which I need because I have an app-free dumb TV) and it had rave reviews from some of the professional reviewers
Use it only for Blu-rays; use the smart tv for most other viewing
I bought this thinking it was like a smart tv and blu-ray in one.
This is by far one of the best 3-D blu-ray players I have ever used.
I do not know if these issues will be addressed by Panasonic in a firmware update, but I guess that is a possibility.
if you don't it seems to jump around and cause hangups or dropouts as the default is no selection) and even over an 2M cable feed have experienced no delays or dropouts over about 10 hours of watching Netflex
3-D is great as well and it's slim enough to fit anywhere
As many others have done, I stewed on this player for two generations, waiting for the internet/Netflix issues to be addressed or at least become less frequently complained about
Many people report streaming problems with various players
Had streaming problem but found out it was the supply vendor, not the unit
Great Blu-ray, I use it frequently for normal Blu-rays as well as
It seems to take longer than necessary to drill down to the movie/show selections inside Netflix, but once a selection is made, there aren't any latency or streaming problems.
All of our internet video streaming problems are now gone
Great Blu-ray, I use it frequently for normal Blu-rays as well as
but it is made out of flimsy cheap plastic so a fix wasn't possible
I just watched my first Blu-Ray DVD, and was blown away at the video, as well as, the audio quality
Careful when unpacking; the front plastic that flips down to reveal disc slot is very easily scratched, even with a cleaning cloth
if you don't it seems to jump around and cause hangups or dropouts as the default is no selection) and even over an 2M cable feed have experienced no delays or dropouts over about 10 hours of watching Netflex
But it would be nice to find a good model, well designed, with good connectivity and longevity
I had some intermittent connectivity issues with my wireless network
"My Favorite Remote" Advanced Universal Remote Control for up to 18 A/V Components which is nice because it's easier than keeping track of remotes for all of our devices
I loved the local access to my videos and music on my computer and the Internet wireless access to online content like my Netflix, until it suddenly looses connectivity and can't re-connect without a reboot.
I can imagine how attempting wireless would compound the issues even more (connectivity, stuttering, etc.).
You can also connect an external USB hard drive or USB thumb drive for accessing photos and video files
The guy won't budge and refused to let me talk to a supervisor or more knowledgeable rep, even after I threatened to return the player to Amazon - he couldn't care less!I was getting ready to return the player, but then I read a negative review on Amazon about this particular problem and followed the reviewer suggestion; adjusted the A/V settings and the sync corrected itself
This is by far one of the best 3-D blu-ray players I have ever used.
The external hard drive hookup by USB is a great feature, allowing my to do a slide show of all my photos I have stored over the years
Optical disc playback is good, no problems even though I use a lot of DVD-/+ R and RW discs, as well as BD-R and RE, both single and double layer
3-D is great as well and it's slim enough to fit anywhere
This is on the cheap end of Wireless Blu-rays, so I wasn't expecting electronic awesomeness, and I got what I was expecting.
This is by far one of the best 3-D blu-ray players I have ever used.
An inherent firmware upgrade will produce several hours of tech support on the phone with the inevitable end of sending it to a repair center and paying $15 for the privilege, plus shipping.
Engineering defective: NETFLIX does not work and MLB.com freezes and does not start up normally.
, it's slow and has freezing issues, causing me to unplug power from the device
Press Win button + r , type cmd, type ipconfig
I'm also constantly having issues with it freezing during streaming videos, forcing me to exit completely and try to restart the video, usually with no luck.
Optical disc playback is good, no problems even though I use a lot of DVD-/+ R and RW discs, as well as BD-R and RE, both single and double layer
Replacement won't connect to WiFi and there is no hard wired LAN port
I have two of these now and both work well wired, and wireless.
I also cannot comment on the wireless since our other player was hard wired with an ethernet cable, and so is this one
I purchased this player to utilize its WiFi and Netflix capability in a location where I don't have a hard wired LAN connection and the TV doesn't have internet capability
Though it won't stream movies to well, wireless, wired ok.
