Panasonic Smart Network 4K Upscaling 3D Blu-Ray Disc & Streaming Player DMP-BDT270 (Silver), WiFi, Miracast

    • So I unplugged it and plugged it back in, which sorta corrected the issue
    • Pressing the player's "stop" button and then restarting it corrects the screen issue but it can repeat.
    • May be my fault, but if I can't figure it out, it must be an extremely complex issue, which shouldn't be the case.
    • Wifi works great, no issues
    • The major gripe many have with this device is the wireless issue which I
    • I had some intermittent connectivity issues with my wireless network
    • The unit has had consistent issues with any input other than wired connection.
    • The only issue I have is internet access is a little slow but that just could be my ISP
    • Ghosting is an issue but that's to be expected
    • I'm also constantly having issues with it freezing during streaming videos, forcing me to exit completely and try to restart the video, usually with no luck.
    • My guess is the latest firmware updates have probably addressed the more infamous issues
    • My only issue is its hard to find the root menu (the video menu) when you pop in a movie, I'm still trying to figure out how to do this
    • And it worked good for me since then, no more poor or weak signal issues
    • The issue of it not ejecting might be misinterpreted as having a mind of its own but is likely just how slow this unit responds
    • I've noticed the freezes getting fewer and fewer, so I assume Panasonic must be working the issue
    • Works well - no issues to date
    • Because I mostly play Netflix disks, lack of pristine surfaces may be an issue, but I am usually unable to see any defects and cleaning does not seem to help
    • Previously I used a wireless router inside my house which caused a lot of poor signal strength issues between upstairs and downstairs locations
    • It plays discs just fine no issues there
    • Two issues: facebook keeps losing my password, and I have to login again to get to my paylists, and bigger drawback, the blu-ray player loses the network connection.
    • so it would appear these kinks have been either ironed out, or those issues are fairly isolated
    • I control my receiver and bluray with my phone(fed up of too many remotes)- Can connect using wireless of wired connectionConsOnly issue i have encountered so far is sometimes screen flickers, cant even return it as shipping cost would be near to product cost
    • and I've played a great variety of them from Blu Ray to DVD, fingerprinted by my little kids or brand new and no more issues.
    • Decided not to risk any other unseen issues and returned.
    • However, over the last three months, the issues have become the norm rather than an anomaly, and the player constantly crashes (with a 5-10 minute "Please Wait" following before I can restart) whenever I try to access Internet apps
    • If it weren’t for this stupid freezing issue, I’d easily give it a five stars.
    • We don't have issues with it dropping the network connection or freezing or skipping when playing Blu-Ray discs or DVDs, which I appreciate.
    • The only odd issue is Hulu Plus
    • The Amazon streaming client has intermittent brightness issues, and I have given up waiting for a fix.
    • My issue with this player is the network connection problems.
    • Best Price, and Fast S/H.
