Great quality play back with DVD, Blu-ray, and out of region DVDs - which was the reason for my purchase
It works well, has excellent picture quality, and a lot of great extra features.
And, this one seems to have better picture quality than the U.S. only version, probably because it is more flexible in determining the proper color configuration
but I do use it with a 55" and a 47" highest frequency sets so the quality of the picture is outstanding

The Sony BDP-S6700 has great features, but randomly locks up and requires unplugging the unit and waiting at least 15-20 mins before plugging it back in to get it working again

Hadn't posted a review in a long time since I've been waiting to recover my region 4 DVDs and non-US Blu-Rays to actually confirm that this device works region-free as advertised
