good price different remote different then my other sony

I bought this blu-ray player because 1) it was a decent price and 2) because I had heard good things about the Sony player

It plays DVD's and CD's with incredible sound and pictures

It set up easily and was exactly as advertised the picture is beautiful and I am very pleased with it

If looking for a DVD player which shows a excellent picture and if your TV is capable of doing so and you look for a player loaded with apps then it delivers but if wanting to view DVDS from other countries or regions then it will not

discs play great, crystal clear picture, the streaming part of it & remote are my only concern

The blu ray feature gives a very crisp picture and when I watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy on it it was almost like watching it in 3d

The player works well and has a number of useful streaming features built-in for those who don't have smart tvs.

The ease of hook up is relatively easy and the features of equipped apps are excellent and also is the picture quality

I purchased a Roku and didn't realize all the features and functions smart TVs could do

MAIN upgrade Sony could make would be to give us a LARGER remote with better features.

The remote works well, but the unit is sluggish in responding to remote commands

very small and lightweight. was used but in a great condition and worked like new with a 90 day warranty

Other than that, streaming movies on Amazon Instant Video is fabulous.....works like a charm.

There was no point in trying to return it because Best Buy doesn't actually provide a warranty

The ability to download apps, such as Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, etc. makes these worth it if you don't have a smart TV.

Panasonic's Blu-ray and smart TV both have exactly the same problem.

I bought this for the family last year in leu of a smart TV.

I bought this used dvd player to save money at first the dvd player didn't work then the apps quit working!

Otherwise don't waste your money and go find a cheap knockoff that will at least stream Netflix ok.

Tried several (4) of these, because we thought we were getting defective products, but every single one of them loses streaming connection mid-show as well as the BluRay and/or DVD 'jumps' from viewable screen to a green or blue screen or would simply be uber pixelated mid-movie, sometimes it stops all together and give us a green or black screen.

Great product; purchased two of them for the bedrooms for online access in lieu of cable.

This is an inferior product, and you'd be better using your hard earned money on something else

We wanted a blu-ray player that supported Amazon, just to have the option, as well as playback from an external hard drive with video files

This is a great Blu-ray player if you are planning to use it strictly as a player; however, the smart technology really is pretty limited

Outstanding quality and grand kids love it on big screen tv.

Yes, it works for a blu-ray; but after having it for a year, it is a terrible streaming player.

I have trusted Sony products for decades and this player is a great disappointment.

This thing is fine for DVDs, but netflix is about useless

Netflix would freeze intermittently and Amazon Prime won't even let me sign in without shorting out

I will mostly point out that Netflix has a delay when you pause/stop/rewind/etc

Now I can enjoy Netflix and Redbox on my new TV with a remote <35 stars because this is seriously a DEAL

Many times less problems with the playback that I had with my cheaper Blu-ray player.

BUT has frozen up 2 or 3 times already - but unplugging seems to get it working again - nice unit when it works but not happy with the freezing up problems...

I've never had a problem with the Wifi unless theres a bad storm disrupting the connection in general

I get frustrated often because unless you are pointing the remote directly at the correct spot it doesn't work.

Sony, you lost a customer, although I doubt it's much of a concern, or this junk wouldn't be on the shelves
