The "Viera" smart TV features are outdated, slow and pretty much rendered redundant by a Roku box or somewhat modern TV.

I've found TV's and previous DVD devices very limited here in the past, so I've used file streamers connected with HDMI to feed my files from USB devices to play on the TV.
