If you're OK, however, with a simple player that does nothing more than play movies in HD and connects to BD Live, I would highly recommend purchasing this product
I strongly recommend purchasing a blu-ray player that is wifi capable due to firm ware

I have a second much nicer Sony BDP...and that remote's eject button works on this player..so what exactly is the problem with including an eject button on this one?
So I decided to get the next available version of the family, the BDP-360, as it has been 3 years since the last purchase
These people take zero responsibility for destroying my BDP-S360 with their software update
This BDP supports NTFS - good, but other Sony BDP models with the same software do not - that sucks
This could be the world's greatest BDP - I wouldn't know
Excellent product, simly picture quality is great, excellent sound, quality and excellent finish
After one year and a half it started to emit an awful sound when I play DVDs with it
The picture is fine and the sound from my computer is fine
Third, the sound is incredible too; we can understand the conversations, enjoy the (rock) music concerts and yet not be overwhelmed by the 'THX theatre' loudness of music backgrounds in movies
The overall rating of 1 reflects the fact that the player lost sound and picture after only one week of use
I again expressed that Sony should at least offer a free refurbished unit and apologies for the incident, duration of delay in my video viewing, and my troubles.
If this unit lasts as well as the other Sony products I have owned, it really will deserve the 5 star rating
The unit worked great (5 stars) until the last sony firmware update
the unit is durable and will not break down...sony is confident on there products and I've always been a sony guy to
Older unit is very slow, but visual clarity is exceptional
Tried this 3 separate times with latest upgrade offered at their site and that didn't work.
I get precious little down time to just kick back and enjoy a movie, and to waste the time just trying to get the player to work is maddening to say the least.
My only gripe is the obscene loading time when opening the tray from its powered-off state; there's no excuse for it taking 8-10 seconds for the tray to open as the thing powers up (you can hear it and see the display come on).

It worked great when it was working - unfortunately this fatal error has made me wary of recommending it or even from purchasing another sony blu-ray player
We got the Twilight Eclipse movie to play but now when we try to play the Back to the Future trilogy only the first movie plays and the 2nd and 3rd give us that unknown error again
We were ecstatic until we tried playing the newly released Twilight Eclipse movie that was released and got an unknown error message
