If this unit lasts as well as the other Sony products I have owned, it really will deserve the 5 star rating

Granted, this was obviously a defective unit, but it says something about this model's reliability.

If your Sony is unreliable and within the one year manufacturer's warranty you can get a free refurbished unit

Older unit is very slow, but visual clarity is exceptional

Very light weight and is a compact unit (doesn't take up a lot of space like your old VCR's used to).

I again expressed that Sony should at least offer a free refurbished unit and apologies for the incident, duration of delay in my video viewing, and my troubles.

Ridiculous right!Update: I did complain severely with the Sony's tech support, who took some convincing until they finally relented and agreed to "fix" my unit free of charge

I explained that the unit was running well until Sony's Network Update rendered it non-functional.

The reviewer who claimed upscaling was terrible must either have his unit wired backwards or he must have a defective unit.

After 2 months of usubg a total of about 5 times -- the unit no longer works
