it does allow my smart tv controller to control the player so use of multiple remotes are not needed
I kept the player beyond the point of return, I turned on the synchronization option on my LG Smart 3D TV and it did enhance many connectivity routines, but the player is definitely defective.
It is compatible with your LG Smart TV remotes as well

My last player had great streaming features, but took forever to load discs
Good quality product, lots of nice features.
I like the features of no bloatware "apps" on the player----all that stuff is already on my TV.Some reviewers whined about the remote, but I had no problem with that
I don't need the Smart features, that's Roku's job

Another good thing - the provided power cord is long, remote comes with battery (very rare these days).Negatives: Does not support network music/video servers and the remote is very small

I bought this based on positive reviews and value for money but have had a terrible experience with it
