Paper Mate 1862166 (Assorted) and 1862167 (Yellow) Mechanical Pencils, 1.3mm HB #2 Lead, 5 Count each

    • The 1.3mm led is so thick it never breaks and it lasts forever
    • I like the 1.3 mm lead.
    • —The 1.3 mm lead is thicker than most mechanical pencils that use 0.5 and 0.7 mm, and because of this, it is less likely to break
    • We love the broad 1.3mm lead and the nice dark lines!
    • They use 1.15mm leads and write/erase just as any decent mechanical pencil should.
    • The 1.3mm lead never breaks while I am using the pencils.
    • I like a .7mm lead but 1.3mm is even better
    • The thicker 1.3mm lead is great for writing if you like bolder pens and pencils.
    • Another plus of using 1.3mm leads is that they don't break easily so you can press harder when writing with these
    • The 1.3mm lead allows for less breakage and never needs to be sharpened, and the #2 lead is perfect for standardized tests
    • I never knew until now, what a difference the 1.3mm lead makes
    • I’m putting up a picture comparing this lead to the 0.7mm lead.
    • The 1.3mm lead doesn't break as easily as thinner leads
    • I have always favored .07 mm lead, but become aggravated because the lead is easily broken.
    • The eraser is quite clean to use (as opposed to others I have used that smudge and make a mess). As stated in the product description the "1.3mm lead allows for less breakage and never needs to be sharpened", however, it is so resistant that it takes a lot of use to make the lead pointy, which may result in uncomfortable writing for some
    • I love the 1.3 mm lead.
    • First, the 1.3mm lead is more like a traditional pencil, and eliminates the aggravation of constant breakage that you get with the usual mechanical pencil
    • If you prefer softer leads, you can find 1.3mm leads in B and 2B hardness (Kokuyo Campus brand)
    • At 1.3mm this was better than the 0.7mm leads of most other mechanical pencils
    • That problem is no more with this 1.3mm lead
    • I like the 1.3mm leads; I find 0.5 and 0.7 too fine, and 0.9 is borderline
    • Years ago I found and used some that had 1.1 mm lead.
    • The thick 1.3mm lead is strong, doesn't break under normal use, and is just nicer to write with
    • It is thick and does not flatten and write powdery lines like with a 0.7 mm lead.
    • easily- replacement 1.3mm leads available for purchase separatelyNegatives- no replacement erasers available for
    • I hope Paper Mate continues to sell the 1.3mm leads for this pencil
    • The points are not as sharp as you get with sharpened wooden pencils and the triangular shape is much easier to grasp and hold in proper writing and drawing position that the average wooden pencil.
    • It took me awhile to realize it was her favorite because the lead didn’t break nearly as much as with other mechanical pencils
    • Only mechanical pencil I will use because it doesn't break off as you write.
    • Wonderful as always!!
