First, I got a great price on a refurbished one, which turned out to be defective.

but at a cheaper price point and offering functionality that doesn't require further use of your wireless contract, Pebble starts to make some sense

Now it's possible that the next iteration of the Apple Watch will change my mind, but right now, the Pebble Time is priced just right for the kind of smart watch that I need.
