Philips Wake-Up Light Alarm Clock with Sunrise Simulation and Radio, White (HF3505)

    • This is not a "cheap" alarm clock...it should either have a built-in battery backup, or at the very least a spot to put a pair of AAA batteries (or even a couple watch batteries!)
    • Battery backups are pretty standard even in cheaper alarm clocks, and have been for at least 15-20 years
    • The alarm is nice and loud, the display is dimmable, and the alarm is easy to set.
    • , I'm still not sure I love it, but it beats an annoying alarm, just doesn't always do the job!
    • You can set the alarm to be a buzzer or the radio, and the snooze works either way.
    • great alarm clock but lacks battery power... who ever heard of an alarm clock that can't use batteries?
    • It definitely helps me wake up better than a normal loud and annoying alarm clock
    • It would have probably cost Phillips an extra $.50 per model, and I'd personally be willing to eat that for a much more effective alarm clock
    • I wish there were more options for such an expensive alarm clock.
    • This alarm works like it is advertised but just was not the ticket for my son or my husband
    • Best alarm I have ever had.
    • Most expensive alarm
    • I wanted a silent alarm that would wake me up without disturbing my spouse
    • This lacks the two basic requirements for being a useful alarm:it does not have a battery backup and it cannot be programmed for only certain days of the week
    • This alarm is great because by the time when you need to wake up, you feel like you really can do this
    • I was not shocked awake with a loud alarm
    • Perfect alarm for my 13 year old!
    • I wish we could just turn off the sound settings completely without having to take apart the alarm and mutilate the speaker - the speaker is tinny and not that great quality, and I really only bought it for the light, which is primo quality (and so far I haven't seen any good light alarms that don't have sound - Philips seems like the company that would have had that by now)
    • Not user friendly, ostensibly should be very simple but many features just don't work well , for instance need to adjust every time the light level for the light alarm , impossible to set for light alarm only without sound (must have sound set as well), not clear how to stop the light in the morning etc etc
    • The alarm is fantastic, I love the way the light gently comes up and the radio or included sounds come on to wake you
    • Most alarms end up with me hating the sound after a month
    • Its a great little alarm.
    • There are touch buttons on the light part, as well as alarm and volume buttons on the base
    • Like many people, I have two different wake time schedules each week, and it is quite cumbersome to change the alarm to the other time and not at all intuitive
    • This is a pretty good alarm clock and definitely a gentle way to wake up
    • No more harsh wake ups, no more dreading the alarm, and no more groggy mornings
    • Fairly good alarm
    • This is a wonderful alarm clock
    • One of the best alarms I have owned, I feel like I am waking up at a camping trip
    • This is a quite adequate alternative, of far better quality than the few cheap light-based travel alarms I could identify
    • Then I was reunited with my sunrise alarm clock and BOOM, no more wanting to hit snooze, and I'm waking up happy and not groggy again!
    • Without those, no matter how much "technology" they put on it it is not a good alarm.
    • The alarm itself looks sleek and modern, befitting the price point
    • So this works well for me as a closk but does not work for me as an alarm.
    • All it does is:*Set time and alarm*Set either two noises or FM radio as alarm*Lets you turn on the light when you want as a lamp*Control the brightness of the numbers and the light*Set and play the
    • I'm a changed person now that I've ditched my noisy alarm for this sunrise simulating masterpiece.
    • ....this when it is the standard on far cheaper bedside alarms to at least have a port for a phone or MP3 player
    • All in all, terrific alarm.
    • It's also not the most convenient alarm.
    • Specifically, this alarm lacks the ability to have different alarms for weekdays/weekends, there's no USB charger, no way to play music from your smart phone (though you do have the FM radio, if you're into that sort of thing), and no digital projection of the time on your ceiling (which I grew to love with my last alarm clock). Those limitations notwithstanding, the Wake-Up Light is great
    • This is the perfect light alarm clock
    • the inbuilt alarm noises
    • The clock slowly and gently brightens as it approaches your wakeup time
