Let me start by saying I had no QC issues like some other reviewers have

Update (5/7/16):Amazon overnighted me a replacement pair and they had some of the same QC issues so it and the original pair are going back

Unfortunately, given the plethora of QC issues, my pair were no different

By now I'm sure everyone knows about the QC issues that started appearing after Gibson acquired Woox which was the original manufacturer of these headphones

With my humble FiiO E11K or C&C BH amps and my iPod Classic, the X2s are simply as much as I could want in a headphone

They do win by a small margin over the HD-650’s because of the miniscule clamping force

I definitely liked HD-700 less than 800’s.

I really liked the phillips shp9500’s, and these improved upon everything I liked about those.
