Philips X2HR Fidelio Over Ear Headphone, Black

    • Awesome build quality- Open back
    • The sonys were very comfortable and after break in, sounded great, but the build quality was terrible.
    • First of this review doesn't have to do with sound quality as that's pretty excellent
    • Durability: As far as durability goes you shouldn't be throwing around any pair of headphones over 200 dollars, but from the stand point that the build quality is exceptional I would say that they would fair well against bangs and drops, but I wouldn't recommend trying that out.
    • I'm not gonna make any comments concerning sound quality as many others have already commented on how amazing they sound.
    • I'm not sure I even deserve such a nice sound quality
    • The build quality is stellar(I have a pair that came out before the manufacturing issues, which have been resolved anyway).
    • Quality of the headphones is excellent
    • Anyway I got it at a very good deal and the sound quality is solid for the price you pay.
    • Sound quality is pretty great, especially for the price of $215; however, the build quality seems to have suffered
    • The quality is excellent
    • The audio quality is like nothing I have heard before.
    • Incredible unbelievable sound quality, extremely comfortable to wear even for a 10 hour gaming session (known from experience), and just genuinely a beautifully designed set of cans
    • Beautiful build quality and aesthetics, with a beautiful tonal balance and sharp tight base
    • The sound is so large it feels like you're listening in a perfectly sound-balanced amphitheater with the finest quality speakers in total comfort.
    • As other reviewers have stated the build quality is excellent.
    • I have to say that the sound quality is really good
    • The build quality is fantastic
    • The first thing I noticed when I took them out of the box was the excellent build quality.
    • I would describe the X2's as having great clarity and ability to expose the fine detail of LPs and CDs, as well as the inferior audio quality of Youtube and many MP3s.
    • Cons:- Sound quality is acceptable for general
    • Very comfortable, sturdy quality build, enjoyable "ear-tuned" sound.
    • Excellent build quality
    • I really, really want to like these headphones; the bass is the the most hyped point of these headphones and they absolutely perform well in that aspect, and I've seen that the build quality CAN be good
    • The build quality and comfort is very good, but the sound isn't impressive since I came from
    • These things scream quality with it's aluminum (cans), leather and cloth (headband). The comfort is also one of it's highest points
    • Amazing sound quality, unmatched comfort
    • There's a lot of metal and a high quality hard plastic to go with the leather headband
    • The looks also reflect the excellent build quality.
    • The build quality somehow negatively impacts listening comfort
    • The cable you do get is very good quality, but is also nearly 10 feet long and definitely hurts portability
    • It's like listening to a high quality stereo system- smooth but very detailed
    • Firstly, yes they are expensive (here in Australia they are around $400), but the build quality is superb & you really feel as if the money has been well spent when you hold them
    • I would describe the X2's as having great clarity and ability to expose the fine detail of LPs and CDs, as well as the inferior audio quality of Youtube and many MP3s.
    • The build quality alone is far superior to any of the headphones I've listed
    • Lots of metal, plastic that is there is very good quality, and there is no rattles or squeaks
    • I just would expect better quality from $300 headphones
    • Love the build quality and use of metals and leather.
    • Pro (both quality and quantity) and I prefer the detail of the mids much better than the two Sennheisers (notorious Sennheiser veil).
    • Incredible unbelievable sound quality, extremely comfortable to wear even for a 10 hour gaming session (known from experience), and just genuinely a beautifully designed set of cans
    • Don't get me wrong, the build quality is amazing, and the sound is quite accurate, but I simply can't trust this
    • For the price you pay the build quality must offset the lack of goodies, right?Build Quality
    • Sound quality is pretty great, especially for the price of $215; however, the build quality seems to have suffered
    • quality+ Impeccable build
    • Wonderful audio quality.
    • The overall build quality is great nothing creeks and everything feels very solid when touching or moving the headphones
    • Plus I got myself an external dac/amp which further improved the sound quality
    • The sound quality is great as well, if a bit heavy on the bass
    • Great build, feels very sturdy when holding it in your handsSounds kind of neutral, though it is supposed to have a bit stronger bassExcellent soundstageCons:Poor quality control from Gibson- has glued pads, potential ink bleeds, and in my case, clicking on the left speaker
    • If you have the money to spend & really want amazing build & sound quality, do yourself a favour & buy the Fidelio X2
    • The sound quality is rewarding - Huge depth and soundstage.
    • Use them without Amp, very good sound quality but add an amp and they simply are best
    • And sound quality had become very important the more I had read
    • Ridiculously good build quality that is better than a majority of headphones
    • Beautiful build quality and aesthetics, with a beautiful tonal balance and sharp tight base.
    • Good build quality but not worth more then 150$ IMO!
    • So, these sound good, but the build quality is not sturdy at all.
    • I bought mine in 2014 and it is excellent quality.
    • Overall sound quality is somewhat similar, but personally I prefer the midrange clarity of the HD600
    • On the plus side, it had excellent build quality, looks great IMO and the sound stage is the best I have heard.
    • I tried the Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ear Headphones wireless and wired versions and felt the build quality looked pretty good and the leather stitched headband looked durable and classy.
    • It also has very good build quality
    • Great build quality, nice long cable, doesn't need an amp, very comfortable
    • As far as positives go the build quality it really nice and the ear cups are very comfortable
    • Avoid like the plague, mine got returned due to glue all over the pads (not supposed to be there) and pretty poor sound quality
    • I really like their sound quality and comfort
    • I was a bit skeptical regarding the sound quality of this headphone
    • The build quality is also so very impressive.
    • In my opinion, most other headphone's have a glaring fault with their sound signature, even though they may have superior qualities in on or more traits, in the price range ($500 or
    • Love the build quality, comfort, and neutral yet fun sound signature
    • Bass has amazing quality *and quantity* without killing the lower mid-range.
    • The sound quality from them is also phenomenal and having an unpluggable cable for storage is a definite plus.
    • The headphone is poorly built, sound quality is not as good as expected
    • Great build quality paired with better than class sound
    • poor quality headphones sometimes good treble on the other hand its hard to get an all-rounder at a LOW price
    • Good build quality but not worth more then 150$ IMO!
    • Excellent sound quality for the price.
    • Sound quality is amazing.
    • The build quality is AMAZING.
    • The comfort is definitely on par with the SHP9500's but the build quality and sound is obviously much improved
    • I changed the earcup pads to the XL memory foam size and it was better, but not as good as for example the Sony or KEF in comfort level.
    • Leather covering the headband is a bit more shiny and the Philips Fidelio is embossed a bit deeper on the first unit but not applied as well as on the second unit.5
    • I have a more neutral set of phones (AKG 701s) that I like a
    • (i.e. voices sounded nothing like a real life person in front of you, no way you could be confused as to whether a person was singing in front of you), and it was just unpleasant to my ears, period.3
    • Besides the ones I’ve owned, I have also auditioned their predecessor, the Fidelio X1’s, as well as the
