Philips X2HR Fidelio Over Ear Headphone, Black

    • Great set of headphones
    • Got hooked on Leonard Cohen and wanted a good set of headphones to really enjoy his music.
    • (Full disclosure - the 1770s I tried did have a slight volume imbalance in the L and R channels, so I'm not sure I got a 100% good set. ??
    • The Grado SR80i are another great set of headphones, but they are uncomfortable and dont appear to be made as well as the other headphones on this list
    • This set of headphones is absolutely fantastic, I certainly recommend them
    • I tried to do as much research as possible when choosing these headphones and I was trying to decide what would be the best set for less than $1000
    • and I was going to receive a flawless set
    • I travel with a pair of Sennheiser PXC-450s and those now seem very tight on my head.... even though they're still a good set of cans to wear for hours
    • What a fantastic set of headphones, these are built to last
    • they are a beautiful set of cans, and I felt very lucky to have them
    • The bass is one of hte best for open dynamic set of headphones the only place it lacks is the extension and the tightness of a planar magnetic
    • It works, and while i'm not donning the X2 without a home setup with an amp, it is clearly superior to the controversial set of HD580/600/650 series from Sennheiser (without an amp)
    • The bottom line is the X2 is a spectacularly good set of headphones and it is a real bargain at its current price
    • A great set of cans.
    • : This is a FANTASTIC set of cans for anyone looking to enter the world of audiophiles, and doesn't require any extra AMP/DAC's to enjoy thank to the low impedence (but an AMP could also help)
    • I would rather just have a really good sounding set of cans that are super comfortable even if it means i cant go wireless.
    • Again, I hate to say it, but most people will not find enough improvement over a much cheaper set of headphones
    • It's not an issue if you use these in a quiet, comfort setting such as your home, park, or personal office
    • Awesome set of cans
    • So, if you can afford to own a spectacular set of open headphones then look no farther, and if you can also afford the best sounding closed headphones on the sub $500 market, with both being below $500 each, then we have the
    • I haven't had a nice set of closed
    • but if you enjoy the bass and are looking for an excellent all round set, then give these a try.
    • This is a wonderful set of headphones
    • However, now that I am much more mobile, it's hard to justify getting a nice set of speakers
    • Replacement and original order had earpads that were of different make and quality (one set velvet/shimmery/soft - not memory foam and the other set dull/rough/soft - memory foam)
    • Great set of headphones for the money
    • First off I'm pleased to report that these are in fact the original release and are as good as my previous set
    • Comfort is great compare to the other 2 headphones I have and the only reason I had to return is that I already have 2 headphones and this set is expensive to keep all 3 (all 5 months old)
    • an Astell & Kern AK120ii DAP and my ideal would be a set of full size cans that had sound quality at least comparable to the HD650
    • They do win by a small margin over the HD-650’s because of the miniscule clamping force
    • I definitely liked HD-700 less than 800’s.
    • I really liked the phillips shp9500’s, and these improved upon everything I liked about those.
    • "Holy S***"
    • n’t sound like a “high-end” headphone because of that
