If distortion is not enough I've a digital effects unit that does everything else I might need

Fully cranked this amp is surprisingly loud with awesome distortion, which sounds even better recorded

Too simple, no distortion, maybe the others Pignose are better, I don't know.

If you like distortion, get the Pignose - you will be happy with it.

There are far better amps for most purposes from Boss and others that deliver a lot more clean volume, thanks to modern class-D amp technology, and a variety of digital effects to boot
