If you seriously want to be a better guitar player than

This amazing electric guitar amp may be small but it sure sounds bigger than it is in size.

If Paul McCartney ever calls and asks me to join him in a one-night musical extravaganza, playing rhythm and second lead guitar on all of his chart-toppers from '63 until now, the Pignose would definitely NOT be the amp I would choose-two thumbs DOWN for that gig

If you're a musician who's been around a while and still enjoy playing the electric guitar but find that it no longer fits your lifestyle, pick your favorite axe and keep it under the bed or in a closet along with the Pignose, a reliable cord, and fresh AA batteries

I play my lap top steel guitar on the deck using this little amp

An outstanding amplifier which combined reasonably high sound quality with high portability.

The third amplifier was received, and after a little work on the battery placement, it works as well as my original six year old amplifier.

It also works well as a preamp in front of a larger more powerful amplifier (I have several, and it works well with them all)

Beyond that, it's cool looking, reasonably rugged, and even has pegs that allow you to hang it from a guitar strap

If you're contemplating a portable amp, and want an amp with real tone, rather than an amp with outrageous overdrive, get this amp, don't even bother looking at any other portable amps.

For that classic sound from a small but powerful practice ampWith a outstanding look to it

Ran it direct out into the board and got some nice fuzz tone

With both volumes on full blast, there's a pretty good fuzz overdrive sound, albeit at neighbor-enraging volume levels

I don't have a fuzz box (not yet, but have one on order), but I think most fuzzes will sound like crap unless you use a relatively cleaner, sweeter one like the Red Witch Fuzz God or the Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz

You can roll back your volume and get a clean chime or crank it for classic heavy fuzz.

There are far better amps for most purposes from Boss and others that deliver a lot more clean volume, thanks to modern class-D amp technology, and a variety of digital effects to boot

The good thing is that it has an output at the back to connect it to louder amps and like that you can have at louder volumes that unique crunch I so much fell in love with

dead!The Amp seemed quite solidly built, and it produced a good volume of sound for its size for the short time that it worked properly

The Pignose would easily get 5 stars from me if could get a clean tone at a usable volume, but because a clean tone is so elusive, I can only give it 3 stars.

Pretty good practice amp but the amp distorts rather quickly but again, for quiet play time it is good.

So my motivation for buying the pignose was that this little thing looked cool and very American

I am not the best at articulating myself but .. this thing sounds so good

This thing sounds good with all of my guitars but it really shines when I plug my electric-acoustic resonator (dobro) guitar

For me the classic Pignose-and-a-Strat sound is the opening of "I Looked Away" from Layla, but I'm sure everyone's got their favorites

The Pignose is fine for people who want to do rock music
