seems good quality but sounds very boxy and congested thru all the speakers i tried , it is not loud which is what i wanted but the monoprice 5w tube amp is the better amp of the two, by far,

The amp is built with good quality components, fiberglass PCB and ceramic sockets – same as Fender Champ 600 reissue amp
I did not get a good quality "vibe" from this amplifier in any way.

Through this amp I'm able to appreciate each guitar for it's unique qualities.
I plug my guitar straight in, put everything to 10, the guitar becomes "touch sensitive" with incredible feel and range.
I've played my Tele with B bender through it, the LP, SG, and Explorer and Strat as well as several acoustic guitars and the little guy has not disappointed yet
It makes my guitar feel touch sensitive and the tone is legit.

The "California (Tone Research) SET-5" guitar amp is a low priced 5W amp that has been receiving good reviews from Amazon and, I wondered if it was any good
After reading all the great reviews I decided to purchase this as a practice amplifier in my studio.
The price is exceptional and the reviews are great but wanted to share my experience with it

But even louder than the sound of my guitar coming out of the speaker was this horrible vibrating buzzing sound coming from within the workings of the cabinet/amplifier.
Had to change out the Eleca speaker for a Celestion 8" and the sound is fantastic
I was very impressed with the valve quality of such a cheap-o amp
