Well designed and crafted with materials of first quality they fitted perfectly in my ears with a plus: isolation was better than my previous classic technics, allowing me to hear for hours and hours without fatigue caused by wearing them
-
The design of the HDJ-1000's is solid; however, for long spans of listening or monitoring audio/DJ'ing, they do get uncomfortable
-
The design is awesome, the sound is crystal clear, highly recommended.

These are very expensive headphones designed for the rigors (and abuse) associated with being a road DJ.. trampled cords, pulled cords, repetitive on/off, throwing them down, dropping them, stuffing them into a bag etc etc.. for this purpose they are perfect
-
For example, the swiveling cups for single-ear monitoring, the mono-stereo option for single-ear monitoring (no other set of cans has this), the super secure mini-XLR cable, and the whole physical design itself (joints, swivels)
-
As a result new design is easy to wear for hours on end
-
Bad design
