Reviews around construction (5.00 of 5)

  • The good: Many great features with these headphones.. definitely far more than not.- Very sturdy build construction
  • Pros:Great audio quality, crisp sound, very sturdy and sleek construction, all aluminum, no cheap plastic, fantastic noise reduction padding, headphone hinges click into place magnetically so you don't have to worry about fussing with them liveCons:weak bass, mono/stereo switch seems useless as it kills your dynamics and "fullness" of sound
  • I've heard nothing but good things about these headphones & the aluminum casing made me think that the construction was sturdy enough to put on an elephant

Reviews around feel (5.00 of 5)

  • They have a Magnesium alloy that make them VERY light based on other Headphones, they have a Protein Leather that is very soft and give you a good feeling, the cable is very well build...(long lasting Product) and is GOLD plated!Quick comparison with Studio BEATS by Dr. Dre and Pionner HDJ 2000:Beats got more Bass responce -> Pioneer
  • The hi-hat frequency (around 7-8khz) is unchanged, giving DJs a better feel of the beat, and the bass is boosted a bit making these indeed great for DJing
  • The metal alloy construction on the Pioneers gives it a sturdier feel compared to the plastic on the Sonys

  • This Pioneer HDJ 2000 are the best set of Headphones that I Ever had
  • I decided I'd go for it, I'd been looking for a decent set of headphones for a while, but was worried by comments regarding build quality on the others I'd looked at
  • The pioneer's are a comfortable set that doesn't chock my neck

Reviews around pair (4.40 of 5)

  • and I hope they hold up as well as the pair I owned 8 years ago.
  • I use these pair of headphones for a wide variety of things, I used to own a pair of beats studio and by far I've enjoyed these way more after owning them for a couple of months
  • so if I turn it up just a little to loud my ears begin to hurt a
  • I have to say that these headphones have a reasonably flat response and are a quite sturdy pair
  • I've tried all three headphones and these Pioneer's are by far my favorite and the best sounding pair I've ever used.

Reviews around build (4.16 of 5)

  • This headphones do hat they are suposed tod do' great sound qualitie and good build, the only con i have with the is that they gt a bit bulky sometimes.
  • the left side just buzzed out D:< secondly its uncomfortable and gives me a headache after 4 to 5 hours of work

Reviews around product (3.75 of 5)

  • the left side just buzzed out D:< secondly its uncomfortable and gives me a headache after 4 to 5 hours of work
  • I feel swindled because if I expend that amount of money, I expect to receive a good and durable product.
  • I like the product because it's very powerful and clear
  • After waiting so long I have received the product, it arrived with defects and after consulting the advice from an agent near my local pioneer, the product proved to be false, really unhappy with

Reviews around bass (3.61 of 5)

  • I like the style and comfort of the cans but the bass is not as loud as my sony 700's
  • my new HDJ-2000 makes more beautiful sound (clear high and soft deep bass) than starting point
  • Where my Denons come through with good, clean bass response, these Pioneers do too
  • They are not THAT heavy, but honestly i rather to use this type of headphones cause they are much robust than others, especially when the most important thing is the sound quality, and pioneer HDJ2000 don't let you down with its perfect bass and treble allowing you to enjoy your favorite music.
  • Not a strong bass but very nice balance through out all songs of all types.

Reviews around price (3.61 of 5)

  • Well its been over 2 years since I bought these and aside from some of the plastic snapping apart and having to buy the replacement parts direct from Pioneer (at ridiculous prices) these are the best "sounding" headphones I've owned
  • Everything about them is cheap, but the price
  • Got these for $250 on Amazon.. great price considering they are 350 at Best
  • I expect that over time once they wear in a bit they probably will sound even better than they do new out of the box.- Price on them is actually very good for what you get
  • These headphones are among the best, and a bit pricey (although Amazon's price was well below big-box store) - but you get what you pay for and you will likely have no more "headphone envy".

Reviews around pioneer (3.61 of 5)

  • Fake Leather (breaks fast)Pioneer got a Crystal sound definition -
  • I've tried all three headphones and these Pioneer's are by far my favorite and the best sounding pair I've ever used.
  • Pioneer are less expensive and better
  • Pioneer still has work to do on the headband as there are still too many plastic pieces being utilized in the moving and retractable parts on this set
  • very well!Pioneer got a wide range of frequencies 5 to 30000Hz -

Reviews around design (3.04 of 5)

  • For example, the swiveling cups for single-ear monitoring, the mono-stereo option for single-ear monitoring (no other set of cans has this), the super secure mini-XLR cable, and the whole physical design itself (joints, swivels)
  • As a result new design is easy to wear for hours on end
  • These are very expensive headphones designed for the rigors (and abuse) associated with being a road DJ.. trampled cords, pulled cords, repetitive on/off, throwing them down, dropping them, stuffing them into a bag etc etc.. for this purpose they are perfect
  • The design of the HDJ-1000's is solid; however, for long spans of listening or monitoring audio/DJ'ing, they do get uncomfortable
  • the left side just buzzed out D:< secondly its uncomfortable and gives me a headache after 4 to 5 hours of work
