Pioneer SW-8MK2 Andrew Jones Designed 100-Watt Powered Subwoofer

    • OMG what a great sub-woofer.. great bass, highs and lows
    • It has nice bass sound.
    • It's hard to explain, but in parts of a movie where there are no music at all ..it just emits EXTREMELY loud buzzing/bass sounds
    • The bass is crazy loud and uncontrollable with the volume and crossover on the back
    • Connected to a Yamaha Rx-v377 via RCA connection, it add a solid lower bass to the already good FS52 towers and either listening to the music or watching movies, I cannot stand the bass impact if the volume on the sub is set to over 12 o'clock
    • However, the bass is incredible and its a gorgeous looking sub
    • So you would need to pair this with either the center speaker(SP-C22)or the floorstanding speakers(SP-FS52) to get a solid bass.
    • Musically, it handles the most difficult bass and percussion passages with accuracy and ease
    • This subwoofer is more then I expected , very powerful and the bass is nice and deep
    • Admittedly this is not the sub for room shaking home theater bass.
    • This could be more accurately be described as a "powered woofer", not a "subwoofer".That said, it still does provide some useful bass extension for the system, and certainly rounds out the sound.
    • And the bass is really smooth and deep
    • Besides that it has a surprisingly great bass response for the price
    • Though I'm a rock and roller, I don't like heavy or boomy bass,
    • On the bright side, if you're music listeners and your music doesn't require deep bass (hip hop, rock...), this sub is fine (the bass is actually clean and smooth)
    • Bass is excellent in a small room
    • The user should not abuse this sub by playing int too loud, playing material with excessively boosted bass and/or boosting the LFE signal.
    • I noticed watching a movie an exaggerated bass thump that didn't match the rest of the program audio
    • Great sound and great bass after used for a bit was quiet at
    • Punchy clean bass guitar and
    • The SW-8MK2 is a perfect size, sounds amazing, the bass is solid and you can feel it.
    • Good bass sound.
    • We had a Sony surround system before our current set up and the bass from the subwoofer was overwhelming
    • Nice deep, rich bass now.
    • the 8" enclosure on this unit proved to be a perfect fit in the corner of my office, and the warm and clear bass is indeed quite satisfying.this sub performs amazingly well with a wide range of music, from bass-heavy drum n' bass and hip-hop, through more mid-rangey (?) metal and punk rock, all the way to classical and acoustic guitar tracks.
    • Also, this subwoofer puts out good bass for having an 8 inch woofer
    • This sub delivers solid bass sound without excessive boom
    • Good Bass for any style of listening
    • I recommend this sub, but get bass traps and tinker with the placement, crossover, and volume if you want actual clean bass
    • I know how good clean bass should sound - I've played the bass guitar for over a decade, and I own a high end Hartke amp/cabinet setup
    • Good bass sound nice
    • Delicate bass passages were tested with jazz recordings from the Oscar Peterson Trio
    • I also tried lowering the volume and frequency on the back of the subwoofer...even if i turn the volume ALL THE WAY DOWN...it still plays a loud bass sound anyway
    • I could duplicate the loud bass vibration by knocking on the speaker box
    • very good product stiil works very good with my home entertainment system great bass no problems so far will recomend to any one whom would like to set up home entertainment works great with pioneer reciever
    • truly has great bass sound
    • Was looking for a moderately priced subwoofer to supplement the hanging speakers on our covered porch and fill in the missing bass.
    • After about 3 weeks of low use, I noticed that there were extended periods (2-3 seconds, or more) of very loud bass vibration
    • At first the a5+s were punchy enough, but when I'd listen to the same song in the living room or on my high-end car system, I realized that there were bass sounds--and feelings!--that were missing in my work room
    • I was fully convinced that because this speaker was smaller the bass would not be as effective or substantial
    • Stunning bass.
    • The bass is so weak that I usually have to turn 3/4 to be sure it's working
    • good for a small room at moderate volumes, tight bass but doesn't extend very low, if you like powerful and low hitting bass go with a 12"
    • Superb bass response
    • I found that just a quarter turn for both volume and cutoff gives me clear strong bass notes and some heart-shaking vibes without even a hint of boominess
    • Performs very well with movies and music producing very clean and tight bass
    • However, after this point the bass would begin to boom and rattle after listening at modest volumes, to the point where I would have to turn it off alltogether
    • Produces nice rounded bass that completes the low end of the sound nicely
    • Good size, enough bass for my small living room
    • It had great bass while it lasted!
    • Great bass for an 8 inch
    • The sub works superbly and fills my lounge with a nice deep bass quality
    • Used two of them for a while wired inline with SP-FS52 speakers (Like a cheap version of Zeos Pantera's Doom Stacks setup), and they filled the room with clean tight bass that rivals my 15" Klipsch SW15 II
    • The only way i could get a good solid bass when i set the receiver for bass to come out of the center speaker and sub.
    • I found that just a quarter turn for both volume and cutoff gives me clear strong bass notes and some heart-shaking vibes without even a hint of boominess
    • Unbelievable bass for a small size and price
    • 10yo 2ch(A&B) reciever which I love.
    • Keep in mind the speaker only sounds as good as to where it is placed
    • I have tried switching to a different surgeprotector as well as directly into outlets and continue to have the samelack of power to the woofer
    • The towers are wow-ing me over, more and more, as they break in.
