The sound quality is great and this speaker definitely does the job over it's immediate rivals

Extremely disappointed with the build quality and factory control on these units, and terrible customer support from Pioneer.

I have owned Pioneer electronics products in the past and felt they were good quality and

I can't imagine anything happening to them because the build quality is outstanding as well.

Important note: be sure to set your subwoofer settings properly so has to get the best sound quality.

I have Pioneer HPM-100 speakers that I purchased in 1979 that are in brand new condition and have awesome sound quality.

The quality is great

It has drastically improved the sound quality of my Surround sound set up and the new sub does a much better job on the deep lows.

In short, anyone looking for a good quality bass sound (without sounding "boomy"), easy configuration with your existing equipment (reciever, amp, etc), have limited spacing and feel like you're not having to compromise good sound because of the lower price point that Pioneer offers, this is definitely the sub for you

POOR QUALITY SUBWOOFER.

i was a bit worried about hum, since the more expensive "studio-quality" subs out there tend to use balanced 1/4" ts and/or xlr inputs rather than rca, but i've perceived almost no hum with this hooked up to my mixer's rca booth monitor outputs.

The sub works superbly and fills my lounge with a nice deep bass quality

Keep in mind the speaker only sounds as good as to where it is placed

I have tried switching to a different surgeprotector as well as directly into outlets and continue to have the samelack of power to the woofer

The towers are wow-ing me over, more and more, as they break in.
