I recommend paring the Andrew Jones speakers with a better sub.

I would guess they either have a defective sub or don't have it set up properly

On the bright side, if you're music listeners and your music doesn't require deep bass (hip hop, rock...), this sub is fine (the bass is actually clean and smooth)

The user should not abuse this sub by playing int too loud, playing material with excessively boosted bass and/or boosting the LFE signal.

I am going for a martin logan depth, expensive around 1200 but one of the BEST ever sounding subs in that size.

Nobody did anything to really tell the readers just how good this sub is in meaningful terms

but indoors it'll turn your living room into the club!-Possibly the best-sounding and loudest sub in this price range

Solid Sub

For some reason this sub was exceptionally difficult to dial in with my speakers (PSB Century 600i towers)

the 8" enclosure on this unit proved to be a perfect fit in the corner of my office, and the warm and clear bass is indeed quite satisfying.this sub performs amazingly well with a wide range of music, from bass-heavy drum n' bass and hip-hop, through more mid-rangey (?) metal and punk rock, all the way to classical and acoustic guitar tracks.

The SW-8MK2 is a great sounding sub, and it matches nicely with its sibling Andrew Jones speakers

Had this sub for over a year now, happy with the product.

Well, this is a $100 sub; I would rate it as you-get-what-you-pay-for (3-star)

No this won't shake the roof like them (and I don't want it to for my music), but it has excellent sound and works perfectly using the sub outs on my Kustom speakers whch have a perfectly matched 150kz cross over

I recommend this sub, but get bass traps and tinker with the placement, crossover, and volume if you want actual clean bass

For this being an 8 inch sub in a very compact enclosure the sub really packs a deep punch

their retail price was $160, but happily matched the current $130 amazon price (as of 11/16/2013).at 100 watts this is certainly not the most powerful sub, but for what it is, the size and the price, it's certainly hard to beat the build quality and sound produced.

From watching movies to intense video game sessions I highly recommend this sub to anyone trying to build a budget hi-fi system.

Movies sound great, quite deep and impactful, though you will get much better home theater subs by spending two or three times the price of this small sub.

I upgraded to a Polk PSW-10, which is an amazing sub.

my studio/office space is not large, maybe 12x12 feet, and though the bass response on the krks is decent, i felt i was missing that satisfying 'boom' only a sub can bring to the table.

I ended up recycling an older, more powerful Behringer sub that was too big and too harsh for my studio until I can come up with something better for my home theater.

I'm hard to please when it comes to bass, but this 8" sub is very impressive

The price on this item was perfect, not too much for a great item sub.
