Planet Waves O-Port Sound Enhancement for Acoustic Guitar, Large, Black

    • Installation of O-Port when strings are attached was easy.
    • After the video I tried by hand simply to bend the O-Port to see how easy it would be to reverse the process and it didn't seem difficult to uninstall, just not as easy as the initial installation.
    • I recommend that you also watch the video for the easy installation technique
    • First installation is easy - I didn't even loosen the strings

    • The guitar also sounded a bit louder from about 10 feet away (at least according to my daughter). The easiest installation of this would be if you were either removing and replacing your strings, or you don't mind taking the strings off and putting them back on.
    • Installation was pretty easy

    • I also found that there seemed to be less vibration where the back of the guitar would make contact with me (though that seems to be changing the more I play the guitar after installing the port). Is the O-Port worth buying
    • The O Port cracked and broke with my first attempt at installation.
    • The O-Port enhanced fingerstyle play, but it also added clarity to gently-rolled chords
    • The O-port works

    • I've read from other reviewers that the O-Port helps to suppress feedback, which would be a point in its favour
    • The O-Port fits snugly - but not overly tight - which is good when the time comes to remove it, as well as reassuring it's probably not influencing top plate stresses and vibrations
