    Plugable USB Audio Adapter with 3.5mm Speaker/Headphone and Microphone Jacks (Black Aluminum; C-Media HS 100B Chip; Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux

    • After changing a few lines and rebooting worked great and immensely improved sound of RP, especially at high frequencies.

    • An adaptive cable would be a solution except another problem was they used a 20 inch monitor with the previous computer but the new one had no connector that matched their monitor and the solution ( an adapter of course) channels the sound as well but only for external speakers, nothing for mic
