It sounds like the microphone has an a/c or generator in the background but constantly.

updateI upgraded again to Windows 10 and the sound adapter is working very well.

A few of them was a bust but this product worked great!

I would recommend this as a simple way to add speakers or headphones to a computer that has a damaged or missing sound card.

Make sure you don't need to access another port eg HDMI, USB or something else within a half inch of the USB port you intend to use this on as it's a bulky wide device.

As advertised--good device to avoid wearing out the standard laptop plugs.

Only complaint is its a bit big for the raspberry pi slots to have another usb next to it due to the width.
