This kit would make a fantastic gift for anyone interested in programming and/or electronics, and would also be a great thing for parents/grandparents and their kids to do together.
Also, it can be a great gift to a kid who wants to learn or become an engineer, so I also recommend it to any parent who believes his kid is developing an interest
A very nice gift for someone just starting out with Arduino.
This kit include all tthat you need to start but the most valuable thing it'ste book that contained the projects with the exact process to succesfully achieve the results.
The greatest thing about this kit isn't the projects ncluded, it's the ideas you start having about expanding projects or changing portions of the schematics or creating your own circuits.
Have had a blast with this thing and would recommend it to any one who likes making things or would like to start learning some programming or circuits.
This kit is the best thing for a parent that wants their kids to get into electronics but don't have the ability to teach them yourself
I put 5 stars the only bad thing was that my book and 1 of the carton pices is damaged, but i guess it was bad luck or bad handleing.
Everything in the kit worked fine, and the projects in the book aren't extremely complex
It starts off very basic with series and parallel circuits and continues to increasingly difficult projects using more/ different components
He really enjoys the many projects he can do with this kit.
However, use the same components with hundreds of more difficult Arduino projects you find all over the web!
This is a great kit to start with Arduino, after 3 weeks I made my own project with the starter kit and now I bought a second Arduino board with other components to improve my projects
They also use strange colors and waste a lot of space that could be used for a larger font
solid hardware design, the printer of the book should be shot for lousy color scheme and binding
There are lots of them, but most are very small bits of wire in many colors, and not many of the main colors needed - red, black, and yellow (or blue or whatever is your favorite third color)
The book text is a bit small with strange ink colors that makes it a bit hard to read, but other than that, a great set.
