The other problem would be the fact that the plastic outside is somewhat cheap and breaks

The plastic around it is also very cheap and the loop on it is poorly designed

First of all i am warning if you read this just get away from this flash drive as fast as you can

Purchased in August of 2015, and STILL going strong as of this (March 2017) report.

This is not a misperception; the evidence is clear that for whatever reason these are not performing nearly as well as the one I purchased in the past

Tried it in several different ports as well as on a PCI USB hub, and on another computer

I had 32gb version os this drive and it was slow to write (around 20MB/s) and fast to read

The speed of writing is only 10MB/S+, very slow.

The write speed of the USB is only like 10mb/s, slower than my other 2.0 USB!

File transfer will not exceed 20 MB/s, reading or writing

Great product, though the covers tend to break (I have an older one with this problem).
