If you connect it to a usb 3.1 port it kind moves somewhat faster sometimes, but suddenly slows and hangs the transfer

Also the speed is lower as expected for a USB 3.0 and not consistent (varies from 20-60MB/s; reading 80-100MB/s).The transfer of data is not continuous, freezes sometimes for 10-20 seconds before continuing with the transfer

I would assume this is a fake USB, except I apparently purchased this direct from the manufacturer.

purchased a few of these for backup purpose but after running the first 2 backup copy, it was slower then my usb 2.0 sticks from 2-3 years ago.

Worked well for a little while and then died a horrible death

I did a warranty return of it to PNY, but the replacement had the exact same extremely poor performance (worse than any of my USB2 sticks!).

however, if you read the fine print, it is comparing to its internal standard of 3.0MB/s write rate and for the one in my hand, it even fails this bottom-out performance

This USB drive is great but the plastic it’s made it’s very thin

The plastic around it is also very cheap and the loop on it is poorly designed

When it first arrived I was a bit disappointed because the shell is made of a really cheap molded plastic.

I dislike giving negative reviews but I used this one or two times, transferred all my music to a new computer, maybe my photos, out of 4 PNY thumb drives (8, 16, 64 & this 128g) this is the only one I have had fail

I use thumb drives all the time, this was my worst experience.

never fully used it or never really filled the drive all the way, but a few months after purchasing the item I decided to start putting large amounts of files to discover that the drive only takes about 8gb of data, maybe I got a defective unit or perhaps is a knock off product and is now out of warranty, not a good experience with PNY.

I am getting onmy Mac Pro which has a very good connection port is only transferring images at 720-1080 p at like 20m/s the quality of your content really matters here

The point being is that the computer was not the problem and has worked fine with every other flash drive

the mechanical hurt my finger, but the price is good

It also pinches your fingers when you slide the cover open as well
