For this reason I have to knock 2 stars off because IMHO it is this that prevents it from being portable.

Little hard to open, but not so much to lose a star over.

I had 32gb version os this drive and it was slow to write (around 20MB/s) and fast to read

The speed of writing is only 10MB/S+, very slow.

The write speed of the USB is only like 10mb/s, slower than my other 2.0 USB!

File transfer will not exceed 20 MB/s, reading or writing

Purchased in August of 2015, and STILL going strong as of this (March 2017) report.

This is not a misperception; the evidence is clear that for whatever reason these are not performing nearly as well as the one I purchased in the past
