The speeds are absolutely Great; I even get better speed when connecting to USB 2 devices, but of course nowhere near the speed when connecting to USB 3.
Using the flash drive on a new laptop with native USB 3.0 and a SSD for the operating system seems to have removed all system bottlenecks that might have limited its speed.
It is very fast when used in a USB 3.0 port and had the best speed numbers I found while shopping for a flash drive.
On the USB 2.0 machine, write speeds (that's the slowest speed) generally stay above
If you are used to slow usb 2.0 transfer speed you will be blown away
Very fast USBCant even use old USB 2.0 anymore, this thing is ridiculously fast.
What is there to say, this thing is wicked fast, and 64GB.
like truecrypt or some other way to hide you kit and kaboodle from prying eyes if you were to lose this thing.
This thing is very very fast and the slider mechanism is very solid
The ONLY thing I don't like about it is that it's always difficult to push into the USB opening because the little bump with which you push the innards out is SO SMOOTH that your thumb slides off easily as you insert the unit into the opening, which means the metal is pushed back into the housing.
The other day it stopped working completely (fortunately, no data was lost as I always have backups and use caution at any sight of
, 520MB/sec writes.(3)It comes installed with 128-bit AES encryption and password software, like Verbatim, to protect your data which is stored in a "vault" from unauthorized access
been transferring files over and over with it, no failures of unexplained data corruption yet
I bought this usb in July and was very happy with it, had it almost full of important data that I use every day
a USB says "up to 190mb/s" that means the longer data transfers the faster it will get
I hate to wait for slow file transfers, this is by far the fastest drive I have ever own, you can not go wrong with this.
fast transfer rates, but a little flimsy so be careful not to break it.
7the method is simple but requires some work since the driver are incompatible follow the instructions in the linkhere you go [...]if you have windows 8 or 8.1 and facing the slow transfer problems,,, previous review ,,i just bought one USB3 Sandisk extreme,, at first the read & write speed were like 30
If you need fast (really fast) file transfer, this will do it.
Transfer is really fast when plugged into a USB 3 port.
What is there to say, this thing is wicked fast, and 64GB.
I had the 16gb, lost it and opted for the 64gb and love it
To get a rough comparison of the flash drives, I copied a 2.38GB folder of digital photos to each flash drive and timed the copying with the stopwatch of a Casio G Shock wristwatch
I have a 32GB Ultra and this 64GB Extreme is really much faster
The only comment I have is that only 29.2 GB is usable even after formatting, but this was expected, as usable space can vary on storage mediums.
Nice design that sldes the tip in and out of a sheath to protect it.
But slower than the maximum reads and writes, 209 MB/s of Western Digital VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ hard drive(1 TB, 10,000 rpm, SATA 6 Gbit/s)
If you're looking for USB 3.0 Flash Drive and you want it to have solid construction, elegant design, and blazing fast read/write speeds, nothing touches this
Read is just as fast (or faster). Many other brand drives claim "up to 100MB/s transfer rate" but that would only be read rate, and you end up with is a dismal 20/30MB/s write rate
Regardless, we figured it out and continued to use it despite its annoying design
Less than a year of very light use, the drive failed, the problem seems to a loos connection, as I plugged it in, I had to physically move the drive a lilttle bit to get the drive to be connected
very fast,up to 180M/S
and you'll see SanDisk has a HUGE problem on their hands:50% of their USB 3.0 flash-drives simply DO NOT WORK!Unfortunately for
7the method is simple but requires some work since the driver are incompatible follow the instructions in the linkhere you go [...]if you have windows 8 or 8.1 and facing the slow transfer problems,,, previous review ,,i just bought one USB3 Sandisk extreme,, at first the read & write speed were like 30
This is a pretty annoying problem, which is why I rated the device 3 out of 5.
