The speeds are absolutely Great; I even get better speed when connecting to USB 2 devices, but of course nowhere near the speed when connecting to USB 3.

I like the speed of these drives but now that I have had a few of them fail on me unexpectedly with the loss of data and "non formatted" error message I would not suggest SanDisk Extreme as a good USB 3.0 drive and consider alternate competitors.

but I really don't use it because it slows the transfer speed down (which it should while encrypting).If your computer has a USB 3.0 port don't get anything else, stay USB 3.0 or be prepared to wait hours!
