SanDisk Extreme CZ80 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Speed Up To 190MB/s- SDCZ80-016G-G46

    • The speeds are absolutely Great; I even get better speed when connecting to USB 2 devices, but of course nowhere near the speed when connecting to USB 3.
    • the fastest speed I've seen writing is about 24.6 mb/s in my usb 2.0 port, I've yet to try it on my USB 3.0 port
    • The price isn't really a con, maybe by the time you're reading this, this drive may come down to under $20.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a drive with a fast write speed and hates waiting for files to transfer/write to their flash drive from their computer.
    • It feels3-5x faster than my old one (Your speed can still be limited by your PC
    • I have not measured the speed, but it's fast.
    • This is a minor issue, and can be solved by not placing your thumb on the 'slider'.Pros:Fairly large (Doesn't get lost as easy)Has an area for a keyringFairly fast speeds
    • If speed is the only factor, then the SanDisk is worth the extra few bucks for the faster speed
    • nevertheless, the speed is excellent, as it actually outperformed a couple HDs i own that are linked internally over sata.
    • My laptop can handle 3.0 which is faster but this will also work with 2.0 ports at the slower speed now.
    • Great speed and storage for you buck and
    • This drive has good build quality, fast read speeds and works well for playing mp3's I shuttle from my PC to a car USB port
    • These come with a secure software which is a little cumbersome to learn but does not hinder speed of writing and copying to.
    • Good writing speed for this price.
    • 40 MB/s almost the same on both USB2 and usb3 ports,, i thought it was strange i formatted the disk to NTFS quick format,, but the speed didn't change,,i solved this problem by updating my motherboard drivers like Intel chepset, Intel rapid storage, bios others ,,after installing the drivers i restarted my pc, then the speed jumped to read speed around 150 ~ 250 MB/swrite speeds around 100 ~ 150 MB/s, for large
    • It is very fast when used in a USB 3.0 port and had the best speed numbers I found while shopping for a flash drive.
    • I learned that the speed (3.0 rather than 2.0) was more important than the capacity (32 GB was plenty --didn't need 64).
    • Great speed in uploading and downloading
    • The drive does work otherwise with decent speeds.
    • But the speed outperforms anything else
    • If you are used to slow usb 2.0 transfer speed you will be blown away
    • Incredible speed
    • Researched the product and am enjoying the speeds of both read and write.
    • This device, while having great speed (190 MB/sec write, 166 MB/sec read.. both measured) is great for occasional/ light duty use,DO NOT use it as an OS drive or other drive which gets frequent write activity
    • very good and very speed
    • I like the speed of these drives but now that I have had a few of them fail on me unexpectedly with the loss of data and "non formatted" error message I would not suggest SanDisk Extreme as a good USB 3.0 drive and consider alternate competitors.
    • I expected those speeds to be exaggerated, however it is fast
    • Typically write speeds are between 37 MB per second and 39 MB per second, read speeds are slightly faster at about 42 MB per second
    • Fast speed and good design.
    • That's a lot of time waiting, unless you have a stick with good write speeds
    • The SanDisk extreme wasn't a cheap option, but I thought the extra speed is worth a few more $$$.I don't regret it for a second
    • Copy a 2gb file with just less than a minute, awesome!!!Far high speed than those crap product out there.
    • Love the speed!
    • Outstanding speed and functionality.
    • Wow!You won't get this speed if you're copying from a laptop HD as you're lucky to get much more than 120
    • Great speed
    • Phenomenal transfer speeds when you're used to USB 2.0, especially when transferring lots of 1GB-3GB media files like I tend to share
    • It wasn't cheap, but the speed is incredible
    • There is a known issue with these new drives showing up as a disk instead of removable drive and Sandisk is not providing a flip bit utility like others, So if you can overlook that they are good drives with decent speeds
    • Awesome speed of the drive and another phenomenal smooth transaction with Amazon.
    • The speed of USB 3.0 is really nice
    • /sec Read amazing speed
    • Nice speed using the usb 30
    • This amazing product gives remarkable speeds on my pc
    • and I really enjoy its speed
    • The drive works on both Macs and PCs and the save speed is really fast.
    • Impressive speed
    • So although speed-wise this seems to be currently the best drive (looking at both read and write performance, not just read performance), I will pass on this for a drive.
    • The speed is worth the cost.
    • SanDisk USB Drives and SD Cards offer superior performance, speed, and the build quality is outstanding - I've yet to have one go bad, break, or have any problems
    • Worth every penny and the speed is very fast as well
    • Fast speeds, sleek product.
    • All work at top speed
    • comes up like a hdd as my 16gb did and speeds are too awesome
    • And it does all of these at a nice speed
    • but speeds were good till then.
    • The speeds are still great, making large transfers typically limited to mechanical mediums and sometimes USB 3.0 controllers
    • I doubt SanDisk claims this devices is water-proof in any capacity, but it sure is resilient!I ordered this USB Drive because I needed a flash drive that would read/write at fast speeds; as a sys-admin I deal with a lot of large files including ISO's
    • Using the flash drive on a new laptop with native USB 3.0 and a SSD for the operating system seems to have removed all system bottlenecks that might have limited its speed.
    • but the speed seemed great.
    • Used daily transferring files manually rather than on a client's slow guest network, speeds are just silky smooth
    • Its speeds are much slower than solid state drives
    • Excellent transfer speed
    • If you're looking for fast transfer speed take the time and read internet reviews of this
    • Great speed at a great price
    • This drive has the fastest consecutive write speed for a USB 3.0 and that's why I bought it
    • I'm getting very nice speeds on this thing
    • Very well priced flash drive with fast speeds
    • good speed, a little on the "big"
    • The speed of this unit is great
    • Even though it's slower than the advertised fasted speed (which references the 64gb model) it's seriously fast
    • Amazing speed, as promised
    • Speed is really great
    • but the speed this thing transfers data is remarkable
    • Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but when I copy things in windows it looks like the first 100mb-500mb are copying at a very high/insane speed then it drops off to a trickle.
    • The speed is amazing, and the convenience of knowing I can get things transferred quickly is very nice.
    • Good quality and great transfer speeds
    • The write speed on this is incredible
    • All that being said, if you do get it plugged into a loose USB slot or get lucky, you will be happy with the performance and speed it provides
    • This is my third SanDisk Extreme, and as usual, it delivers unparalleled speed and reliability
    • The speeds are ridiculous, Windows install take less than 30 seconds on an SSD.I did research from various tech sites and this product nearly always came up on top for speed.
    • The specs that are shown should be read over before you purchase, especially if speed is important to you
    • Like the speed and storage
    • I've had to go back to a 2.0 flash drive while I've let a loved one use my first Extreme (for their streaming use of movies through their blu-ray player which works perfectly), and it drove me to purchase this second one - the slow speed of an old 2.0 flash
    • great flash drive very durable super fast speeds love the backwards compatibility with 2.0 usb ports and also hs a secure vault to encrypt all your private files
    • USB 2.0 speed is excellent
    • but I really don't use it because it slows the transfer speed down (which it should while encrypting). If your computer has a USB 3.0 port don't get anything else, stay USB 3.0 or be prepared to wait hours!
    • incredible speed if you have a USB 3 drive
    • It works at USB 2 speeds when plugged into USB 2 ports, as expected
    • Amazing speeds.
    • Good speeds, got consistently
    • On the USB 2.0 machine, write speeds (that's the slowest speed) generally stay above
    • Great speeds, very sleek design and has had no problems being recognized on multiple different operating systems back and forth.
    • As programs become larger, faster speed is apparently desired... for both read and write speeds
    • managed to put a full linux Mint distro on it and it worked and ran perfectly (as good as a HDD install).Except that there were linux driver incompatibilities with my laptop I intended to use it for (wifi etc) so in the end i got rid of the linux install, and now just use it for transfering data at crazy speeds between computers
    • It has consistently produced acceptable speeds for a USB 3.0 device and has not once lost any data stored on it
    • , you need the 64GB to get the ridiculous write speeds of around 200MB/
    • Great speed, can confirm the data posted by other reviewers
    • They worked perfectly fine and I really enjoyed the blazing speeds I could get reading AND writing.
    • Quite the speed demon.
    • I haven't run any speed tests like some other reviewers, I just know it is fast on my USB 2 ports and lightning fast on my USB 3 ports.
    • And the speed is so fast if you connect this with a USB 3.0 port on your device
    • transfering data from usb 3.0 ports consistently exceeded 100 MB/s, and from usb 2.0 ports around 35 MB/s
    • nothing like the advertised 190 MB/s which should have taken about 150 sec, or say 3 min
    • Not 190MB/s, more like 101MB/s, but still fast
    • I had bought the SanDisk Cruzer 64 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ36-064G-AFFP) and was getting a pathetic 5 MB/s write speed
    • very fast,up to 180M/S
    • Read is just as fast (or faster). Many other brand drives claim "up to 100MB/s transfer rate" but that would only be read rate, and you end up with is a dismal 20/30MB/s write rate
    • Its 185 Mb/s is top 5 in writes behind Triton etc
    • Extremely fast (over 100MB/s as far as i've seen) and functional
    • But slower than the maximum reads and writes, 209 MB/s of Western Digital VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ hard drive(1 TB, 10,000 rpm, SATA 6 Gbit/s)
