The water smells like burning plastic after boiling

After a few weeks, the plant began to flake off the plastic

There is a hard, plastic on lever at the base of the handle

I love how the water never touches plastic while boiling and even when pouring.

Also the kettle smelled like cheap plastic in its first couple of use.

BUT there is a persistent chemical taste to the water, like overheated plastic or resin

When unboxed the merchandise recently and during the first week of usage there was a residual taste of some odd chemical, plastic in the water which rendered initially boiled water unpalatable

Due to the intense heat in the base of the kettle the plastics got deformed and could no longer latch to keep the kettle on

I have washed with soap and boiled with water for a lots of times and the odd plastics smell is still there

Even my cheap plastic kettle doesn't produce this smell

Sleek and modern looking... like the fact that it is all stainless no plastic... the led color is awesome
