None of the cheaper plastic versions of this design work.

This raiser, however, is all metal, with the exception of the rear leg ends which are hard plastic, I suppose to prevent scratching the surface the raiser is resting on, and perhaps to increase friction at the rear

So when I saw some of the cheaper plastic versions of this type of laptop desk, it got my interest

I've been looking at laptop raisers for ten years, but have never bought one because I loathe plastic

I type on my laptop and watch movies in bed, sit on the sofa or chair reading thick history books as I so often like to do, crochet with my intricate instructions close in front of me and now I'm even drawing with my sketch pad resting on the stand.
