nice switcher

Because this item doesn't come with an AC adapter, I have absolutely no idea if the issue is I need an AC adapter to get this switcher to work with my Tivo series 3 and FireTV

This switcher is worth the money and the remote is so much better than switchers that you need to press a button on it manually.

(2) Beware: the remotes that come with these cheap switchers are flimsy, mine crapped out after only a couple of weeks and is useless.

My daughter's TV has only 2 HDMI inputs and 3 input devices so she had to switch cables when changing to the disconnected device, this switcher makes it easy for her to change input devices

I am afraid to use the switcher with my other hdmi port because I don't know whether the switcher caused the first hdmi port to fail or if that hdmi port failed on its own

I really like having the remote - a switcher I used on my bedroom tv became burdensome to reach behind to manually switch between the ports.

Remote doesn't work with brand new battery but other than that, this switcher is amazing.

Switcher works OK but two caveats: (1) using with a Chromecast, this thing will automatically switch to the Chromecast whenever it goes through it's nightly power off/power on & PIN reset routinre.

I read a review or two that said this was because the Apple TV "tricks" the switcher into thinking it was on all the time.

I can't recommend this Switcher, unless you have a 1080i TV

A switcher that randomly switches on its own is not useful

The remote wasn't all that good, it was VERY limited in range, so limited that I might as well be pressing the actual button on the thing itself

My low rating is because in my opinion the manufacturer should include an appropriate A/C adapter with this, since it will not function as advertised with several HDMI compatible devices that do not output enough power to drive it passively.
