I used it in a Nexus 6P android phone, which has the capability to work on a GSM cell network (most of Europe), as well as the CDMA network in the states, depending on the Sim card used

Trains and the like don’t have very good 3G coverage due to the ground speed and tower handoffs that need to occur, and many urban areas rely on 4G for signal coverage rather than 3G.I found that in many cases we were getting EDGE service even though I could see that other people with local 4G compatible accounts were getting full coverage
