I talked myself into getting this over the predecessor Audiobox as I read that device was hit or miss for some people - and I'm glad I did.

The device worked half-decently for a time but is now useless to me, cannot recommend Presonus products and will not buy from them in the future.

Firewire devices: If you have a firewire/thunderbolt port, I would definitely recommend firewire devices over a USB device

Some issues with cracking/popping in the beginning, the device would lose power and turn off if the power cable was moved in a certain way

There are far too many manufacturers of decent input devices to have to take a chance that this box will give you the same trouble.

But for now, this device does not work, and the KB article makes it look like they simply aren't willing to fix their drivers, so, one star
