PreSonus Eris E3.5 - 3.5" Professional Multimedia Reference Monitors with Acoustic Tuning (Pair)

    • If the bass is not enough for you then either you're using very low frequencies or your mix/EQ could use some improvement
    • The bass is overwhelming and muddy, when playing low notes on my piano it's difficult to hear which note is playing
    • It is a bit warm with excellent bass response, and very nice build quality
    • And as far as prices go, these are just like any other bass friendly monitor
    • i'm not sure how this would be as someone's main monitors as the bass is very limited so you would have to use other means like headphones to check the low end.
    • I do like that Presonus put them on the back, a larger selling point for me, for this greatly reduces overwhelming bass effect which is too commonplace these days
    • I was worried about these not having enough bass, but I've found I don't even have the room acoustics to hear all the low frequencies these E5s are putting out, so they are fine for my current needs
    • No exaggerated bass, no screeching trebles
    • Bass/Treble controls on back of amped monitor is dope!!!
    • Much nicer bass than I expected for the driver size here
    • The bass is perfect, all I cared about
    • They have a good flat sound without being non lively with good bass response
    • The expectations lent by my research lined up with my experience: my Mackies have a tiny bit more bass and the sound of the Mackies are overall just a little bit muddier to my ears, but it's highly subjective and difficult to describe -- and my perception could easily be affected by the different rooms in which they are used and the fact that these Eris monitors were brand
    • Ok so I got these because my Presonus R85's are just way to large and loud to fit in my new apartment and my JBL controls just don't have enough bass output
    • It has enough bass to feel the punch but not enough to overpower the mids and high
    • I attached mine to a subwoofer from another set of speakers, and am now able to achieve excellent, modifiable low-frequency bass response in addition to what I'm already hearing
    • I was afraid the bass on the 3.5s wouldn't be enough for my liking, but in all honesty, its more than I was expecting/wanting, and thats not a bad thing at all
    • Has very good bass
    • Bass is decent
    • The bass is pretty good
    • The bass is also very clear and plenty for me as I'm just using it in my small amateur studio.
    • If you want heavy Bass you will need to add a subwoofer but in the room I play in they produce enough bass
    • Since the bass is not robust, makes you work in your production without disturbing anyone and having a good feedback on the track
    • For my taste, these don't have enough bass
    • The bass is clear and solid, and they are surprisingly loud for small cones.
    • Plus these can get as loud as you want, the only limitation being physical (bass gets boomy at high volume - not unexpected for such small boxes).
    • very loud, clean sound with good bass too, although not much sub bass but enough
    • The bass are perfect for the room and the mids/highs are great.....
    • They still sound a little like a plastic speaker if you really turn it up (a little mid bass resonance) but really clear
    • Bass is great when you're in the listening position, however in my
    • Bass is decent, not too much
    • If the sound sounds weird no matter what you do, try playing bass-heavy music constantly for at least 24 hours
    • But I find the E5 can produce enough bass to satisfy my everyday need
    • Mixing is a pain on such small drivers, however this is no fault of the speakers, being only 3.5 inches and still having respectable bass production
    • If your looking for deep clean bass, this may not be for you
    • They distort even when I turn down the bass (since the bass is muddy and doesn't reproduce sound accurately)
    • Turned it up high still sound tight, with good bass
    • Though these trump many "stereos" I have already noticed a lack of bass response into the 4th octave that many EDM, Hip Hop, R&B artists and the like favor
