Presonus eris-series studio monitors are used worldwide by Studio engineers who need to hear every detail of their recordings. Ideal for gaming and home video production, The Eris E3.5 delivers studio-quality sound yet is compact ...
Great price, light weight and perfect for use in our home studio use.
Something very affordably priced that I could use for song writing demos in a small apartment.
video production is our job...these monitors are at a good price and do a great job.
Review description says it all: great sounds in a tiny package for a reasonable price.
Great price, great sound, multi-purpose, small size, clean and minimalist look, audio control knobs on back, 1/4" audio jack inputs, auxiliary input jack and volume knob on front
Obviously there are limitations to this size of monitors but stereo image produced, the clarity and the flatness is amazing
Frequency response is also really flat (ignoring the couple untreated room modes), especially for this price, and everything comes through with great clarity
These have great clarity in mids and highs, and you can 'hear' the bass
At low volumes, they deliver audio with impressive clarity
The clarity is great and I can hear everything and things I didn't before.
For $150 less you can buy an equally loud pair of monitors from Seismic Audio that are only 5hz less efficient at bass production
I would recommend these to anyone needing a nice pair of 5 inch monitors without breaking the bank
The Eris E44 is a great pair of monitors, but as others have stated, the 4.5" woofers' frequency response tapers off at 45hz
This is my own personal first pair of actual monitors and I love them, I couldn't be happier
I'm a small independent artist trying to get my foot in the door of the music industry, and I couldn't ask for a better, more affordable pair of monitors for an entry level musician like myself.
They don't produce too much low end, which has actually been a blessing because I feel like it gives me a better representation of what the mix or composition will sound like when someone else listens to it, because not everyone has 8' speakers and or a sub
These sound great and definitely help with accurate mixes
I just prefer to go lower in frequency and have a 'little' more punch on low end when mixing
The PreSonus Eris series are all designed to be professional near-field monitors used for making critical mixes for audio or film/video production, and in that intended usage the Eris 3.5's shine
I actually have a switchable woofer on the floor I add with these for listening when I'm not mixing or mastering, and so I can switch to hear what my mixes will sound like on a booming system, like some car stereos
The product is defective, and needs to be replaced or repaired.
I bought this personal studio setup and I couldn't ask for a better product, the sounds is deep and warm without having to much punch of a bass which is good for a speaker of this size
Then today not even 30 days after I ordered the product the non powered speaker dies so now I am missing half the sound I need to play music to
I love presonus products and these speakers are perfect for an at home studio or gaming setup.
It was a big leap from my L-Cheap-o $10 USD generic computer speakers
Also since I'm complaining, the power switch on the front is pretty basic and kinda spoils the really clean look of the front baffle.
Also own these ones.https://www.amazon.com/Studiophile-BX8-Reference-Monitors-Instruments/dp/B0001TTRBI/ref=sr_1_6?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1544998580&sr=1-6&keywords=m-audio+bx8All that been said, PreSonus its a quality brand and the PreSonus Eris E3.5 are nice little good looking speakers with a nice little big sound.
That, combined with the two 1/8" TRS hookups that I'll never use, kinda bums me out about an otherwise very good looking set of nice
The differences are highlighted in the video, including:Eris Pros relative to JBL LSR305:Much smaller for the same speaker size and power output (and weight)Front bass port, making them better for near-the-wall placement many people will preferProduced a richer, bassier sound than the JBLs, despite their higher HZ rating and smaller size... impressiveAesthetically more pleasing... modern, expensive looking, clean deisgn, esp the kevlar cone and lit logoRequires quite a bit less input volume to attain the same output volume (contrary to the SPL rating
Good sound, packaging included speaker wire, prompt delivery, fair price, nice looking
Just wanted to say that I ordered these because I needed some inexpensive, small studio monitors to replace my old monitors.
I’ve owned much more expensive studio monitors then these, but let me tell you these are great for putting together a budget video editing or sound editing station
But that is what makes them exceptional studio monitors and not just your average speakers
Albeit not as good as studio monitor headphones, but still wonderful regardless
I highly recommend especially for setting up a nice small recording studio.
The bass is overwhelming and muddy, when playing low notes on my piano it's difficult to hear which note is playing
The expectations lent by my research lined up with my experience: my Mackies have a tiny bit more bass and the sound of the Mackies are overall just a little bit muddier to my ears, but it's highly subjective and difficult to describe -- and my perception could easily be affected by the different rooms in which they are used and the fact that these Eris monitors were brand
It has enough bass to feel the punch but not enough to overpower the mids and high
very loud, clean sound with good bass too, although not much sub bass but enough
The bass are perfect for the room and the mids/highs are great.....
If you've been eyeballing these bad boys for awhile now, just stop and but them already
Though these trump many "stereos" I have already noticed a lack of bass response into the 4th octave that many EDM, Hip Hop, R&B artists and the like favor
However, the moment I powered these bad boys up, there is a distinct hiss coming from the tweeter
It was a big leap from my L-Cheap-o $10 USD generic computer speakers
I am switching my review from one star to five now that I have been able to test a pristine set of these bad boys
I am aware of at least one other reviewer who bought these this month (May 2018) and received the wrong power cord like me, so be prepared for that if you order these monitors, but don't let that put you off
They came supplied with the wrong power cord, which based on my experience and other reviews isn't just a one-off thing and has been an issue for a couple months
That solved the issue fine, but be warned that I have read other reviews of people getting the wrong power cord in their box as well
However, I was sent the wrong power cord and was unable to hook these up
It was a big leap from my L-Cheap-o $10 USD generic computer speakers
These little speakers are very clear and bright but without causing me ear ear fatigue, I can listen to them for long periods of time without ear strain as well
There's no ear-fatigue from listening to them all day long (but I monitor a very low volumes)
Over time, it causes ear fatigue, and I find that I have to leave the room
These need to be played at lower volumes sitting near-field for the ear fatigue is daunting
They're friendly on the wallet and also on the ears--I feel like I can mix and listen critically for long periods on these speakers without getting ear fatigue
