although i had one problem with the rca connections, they made a really bad buzzing noise and white noise

and I have yet to crank them up to hear any static noise

I am not sensitive, and not in absolute noise-free environment.

The right side speaker has developed a transient static noise.

Before I swapped out the wire I could could detect some harsh noise in the background at higher volumes.

However, on my initial test of them I was getting very loud static noise which turned out to be a problem with the RCA cable that came with the speakers

I used cheap RCA cables and a cheap USB cable between the PC, Creative DAC and Mackie, and got horrible RF noise

and now there is absolutely no static or white noise coming from these speakers

Computers generate all kinds of nasty electrical noise that audio systems love to pick up

The sounds are great, but it also has unpleasant ground noise

It was a big leap from my L-Cheap-o $10 USD generic computer speakers
