Just applying a small amount of pressure to the pencils will give you a nice set of color

I bought this set because I have always loved Prismacolor-primer colored pencils, never had issues with the lead breaking or the barrels

They are nice pencils and this is a nice set as it is all in one box with 3 layers to it

It's a nice, varied enough set of colors for the price (although I do wish there were more yellows and peachy tones)

It is a good set with variety but you can do a lot more and get different colors if you know how to blend colors

This is a very expensive set

I'm not an artist, but I think it might help to have this soft set that blends well for some situations, and a different set that has hard cores for fine detail work.

This set wasn't right for us,but maybe it is for you

These pencils are amazing, second set of pencils I have bought, my first being Derwent Procolor set of 72.They are very soft, waxy, good for blending, burnishing and makes coloring effortless

I had found a website where I could buy the Prismas individually, since I could not afford an entire set

My daughter did have one break almost immediately after opening but this is still a really nice set of artist pencils!

I believe I got a defective set, because over 20 of them have split up along the middle of the pencil and every time I sharpen them the tip breaks

If you care about your art, coloring books or whatever else you use colored pencils for, this set is worth every last penny of the asking price !!!

My set came with a dent in the back and 5 of my pencils had cracks along there wooden case I couldn't sharpen 2 of the pencils cause they kept snapping, the lead inside was broken
