I had purchased a few as open stock and was pleased with them, so buying a pack of the most common colors at a savings (per pencil the sets are much cheaper than buying individually) seemed like a no-brainer

Great pencil set, my grandson loves them & they sharpen very evenly which can be a problem with some pencils.

I'm guessing that I got a set that had several duds mixed in with the good pencils, at different times the lead (sorry I can't remember what it's called) part would come out of the pencil

These are harder and more study, (but you are less able to blend because of that).I had an issue with leads breaking on another Prisma set I bought from Amazon, but these have been working fine

I have a large set of Prismacolor Premier pencils, which are a soft core pencil, and the colors in this set match, but this is a fine point, hard core set, so they work really well in small areas.
