I can now play my trumpet without my wife complaining in the next room.

My daughter has not had many opportunities to use this mute because she's using her straight through mostly but just the fact that she knows that this mute can be used to make different sounds on her trumpet has encouraged her to practice more and thereby, making her a better trumpet player already
