Oak is durable, but adds like 10% weight to the stick

Use to love Promark Japanese oak, but these have a great weight feel with the added bonus of looking beautiful.

I love the weight, balance and the tip shape.

They do offer good rebound and the weight is nice

I used them on an acoustic snare and my Yamaha electronic kit - they're the perfect weight for jazz and more intricate/rudimental kinds of playing

The FireGrain treatment does leave marks initially, so you might break them in on a practice pad first, but these are a great weight and are incredibly durable and balanced.
