Promark H-RODS Hot Rods Drum Stick

    • Hot rods are the same as they were 20 yrs
    • These rods are perfect for cymbal work, and also for snare beats, where sticks would be too much, but brushes wouldn't be enough.
    • i've played drums for about 16 years now, and i've used hot rods before, and love them
    • The work great until you hit too hard and break the rods...then replace : )
    • These cool rods are perfect for my small home studio
    • good if you want a much softer sound than the hot rods though.
    • The cool rods are a little thin for my taste, feel like 7a's
    • These rods are great to use in place of the traditional wooden drum sticks when you need to play a little quieter and not overpower the rest of the band.
    • The rods are a little fragile; beware the edges of the cymbals; they will cut the rods and break them.
    • I really like these rods
    • Perfect feel and sound bridges lighter less durable rods/brushes with standard drumsticks
    • I have them all, but c-rods are my favorite
    • there is a unique rod crack that I like quite a lot.
    • These last a lot longer than the hot rods we usually use but are louder.
    • If you really get wild with them, the little rods will break.
    • These cool rods work well when I need to keep the volume of the drums lower than when using regular wooden sticks.
    • These are by far some of the best rods on the market!
    • I prefer the cool rods for indoor apartment practice, and the hot rods for a bit more solid durability and volume than the cool rods.
    • they are good quality pro-mark rods
    • Ordered 2 pair of Pro Mark Hot Rod drumsticks but unfortunately received 1 x Hot Rod and 1 x Lighning Rod pairs of sticks
    • Sound cool, but chip and break after first gig, try the hot rods, can still control volume and hold up a lot longer
    • They add texture with more durability than the Hot Rod size...
    • But these would be a good midway point between hot rods and sticks.
    • wayyyy thicker than the standard hot rods.
    • It also gives a lighter feel when drumming with the hot rods.
    • These are the pre-eminent rods, sounds amazing and feel great
    • hot rods are the best and original... play well..right tool for the job.
    • its just a slimmer hot rod
    • Life as a drummer before hot rods is hard to remember (in the 90's was it??)
    • rods are cool!
    • You do have to be careful not to break the rods though.
    • Perfect cool rods -- great for practicing with my band in my apartment (so that it's not too noisy for the neighbors above and below us!)
    • I prefer the lightning rods or the hot rods which feel more like 5a's
    • ProMark makes excellent rods, and for most drummers this isnt a secret.
    • I always hated how the lighter thinner rods splinter off like dry spaghetti
    • Have not broke a rod yet!
    • These hot rods are for when you need to play a little quieter
    • Better than the cool rods that break vary easily.
    • Even with the added thickness over the "hot rod" sticks, they still sound like louder hot rods and not like normal drumsticks, which is great!
    • Not only these, but also the lightning rods and the hot rods
    • Sticks are too loud, hot rods are a bit too soft but these are JUST RIGHT!
    • I prefer the regular hot rod size for easier volume control.
    • Sticks are too loud, hot rods are a bit too soft but these are JUST RIGHT!
    • If you play hard, the rods will eventually break but they are pretty durable and last longer than regular sticks if taken care of
    • been using the ProMark cool rods for a while now, although the rods break and can't handle heavy practice, i still use them and promise my self to go easy on them, but it never really works!the sound you get out of them is just exceptional, especially of you're practicing at home or in tight jam with bad acoustics.highly recommended.
    • I got the cool rods to use on a stripped down kit for acoustic music
    • The cool rods allow me to play with bright assertive dynamic (brighter than Hot Rods in tone) without overbearing volume.
    • When he mentioned using hot rods before we decided to try them
    • Even with the added thickness over the "hot rod" sticks, they still sound like louder hot rods and not like normal drumsticks, which is great!
    • I loved these rods!
