I Returned both Pyles and bought this one Behringer PP400 MicroPHONO Compact Phono Preamp for the same price.

Great phono preamp

I'm no audiophile, but you can't beat Pyle's PP444 Ultra Compact Phono Turntable Preamp for this price point.

I would highly recommend this preamp for casual listeners who aren't sporting sound systems worth more than their house.

This is a great preamp for auidophile vinyl hipster geeks (whatever subculture you wanna stereotype yourself with).

Well, I connected the preamp to my Dual phono turntable (MM) and also connected it to my Mac mini

The preamp made a humming noise when it was plugged into our turntable.

For the price, this preamp does the trick.

But, if you're a newbie like me who just wants an affordable preamp that will perform, then I recommend this unit.

As others have noted it doesn't have a power switch, but if you just need a cheap preamp to play some old LPs this should work for you.

Preamp was easy to set-up

A phono preamp is not a complicated thing, so I see no reason to ever get anything beyond this, unless you want to spend inordinate amounts of money for a pricey tube preamp

It first worked well, low volume no much gain, after one week of use it started to fail, volume suddenly drop down and once again normal until after 3 weeks it remain mute, some costumers has written about it, I don't recommend it, you hould pay a little more for a better preamp.

This is the perfect preamp if you just want to plug up your turntable to your A/V receiver.

I use this preamp to boost the earphone output, and now my telephone is plugged into my PC's speakers
