Wanted to revive my old turntable and vinyl records so needed a preamp to boost signal to a new receiver (new ones mostly do not have 'phono' input
This little, inexpensive device boosts the signal perfectly and provides a ground wire screw.

It does a wonderful job - it's been reliably working for over a year now
, please ... does a beautiful job with the sound from the Technics turntable.
This doesn't outperform the other well known brands but does an admirable job at a fraction of the cost.
Pyle o crap
I own two of these and these do a great job at a fraction of the competitor's price

Not high-end by any stretch, but for the price, it works as advertised.

but I like to hear the songs in the car, too, and the turntable doesn't do well on the back seat).Anyway, we were getting horrible sound quality.
Works great to communicate our old, but quality, turntable to the new Yamaha receiver/sound system
I bought a nice, good quality stereo in 1980, piece by piece
This preamp is non-returnable, and produces a terrible sound quality
The sound quality is very good to untrained ears and acceptable to an audiophile -- for most people, this unit will not be the limiting fidelity factor in their home audio setup

Led Zepplinn, however, sounds plain wrong coming from this wimpy product.
Thanks to Pyle for a great product at a very affordable price!
Not sure if this product was defective or just horrible
Perfect product, removed all the line noise from my Technics SL-1500 and gave a very flat signal boost

I am a 30 year audiophile, and if you want a good, not great, but very good phono amp, get this one!
Does exactly as described .PYLE-PRO PP444 Ultra Compact Phono Turntable Preamp
I needed this PYLE-PRO PP444 Ultra Compact Phono Turntable Preamp to connect an old turntable to a later model home entertainment system
There is no point in paying for a nicer phono preamp in my opinion
Today's receivers don't allow for a phono turntable like the older ones did

the Pyle-Pro PP444 pre-amp makes our turntable work great.
works good,if you a looking for a inexpensive phono amp for the first time i would buy it to test your turntable
Nevertheless, I upgraded to a better, more expensive Pre-amp
and I didn't want to have to get a big bulky antique amp just to run it.
While not an audiophile quality it sounds very nice in my hook up and allowed me to play my old Thorens turntable with a modern amp.

There is no point in paying for a nicer phono preamp in my opinion
Well, I connected the preamp to my Dual phono turntable (MM) and also connected it to my Mac mini
This preamp did the trick, takes up very little space and the sound quality is excellent.
it works for a cheap preamp, but dont expect audiophile sound from this thing
The preamp is pretty much useless because of the noise.

Amazing sound, I would recommend this purchase to anyone that is jamming to an older model record player and doesn't have a way to ground their unit properly
One problem: A little over a month after I purchased the PP444, I unplugged the unit in order to move it
This unit works perfectly for me, my LPs sound great and it hasn't caused me any trouble
after i properly grounded it, its like perfect!Highly recommend this unit for the price
Recommend this unit for both performance and space limintations.

You will need an extra phono cable to connect to the left and right input to your receiver/amplifier.
This pre-amp worked great with my new Pioneer receiver that didn't support a phono input.
I bought this unit as a temporary placeholder when I lent a spare turntable to a friend whose stereo lacked a phono input.
It does the job I need it to since I don't have a stereo with a proper Phono input

CP-1036A Direct-Drive Turntable with no ground wire.- 1 Pair of Bose Companion
This little, inexpensive device boosts the signal perfectly and provides a ground wire screw.
Pro's- simple RCA plugs input and output.-grounding wire takes noise out of the systemCon's- doesn't seem to take it quite to the volume of the other systems.- box is not adjustable (more or less amplification)- does not have a power button
Good I/O options.
I split a sixteen gauge speaker wire and used it for the ground wire.

The preamp made a humming noise when it was plugged into our turntable.
Enter the Pyle-Pro PP444, a compact, noise-free box that does the trick
So far, it is what it says it is, the exception being a ground feature that adds static noise to the signal
When I tried using the ground screw on the preamp, the turntable made a humming noise
Adapter makes loud humming noise when plugged into either the wall or power strip.

Very bad hum and distortion making the audio totally unexceptable
