For what I'll have in this, I could have bought one of much better quality

Do not expect superb sound quality from such a cheap amp but it doesn't harm the sound either

Despite the overall sound quality being good, I can hear a distinct 60Hz hum even with the ground connected to the lead from the turntable and all of the A/V components connected to the same AC circuit.

The perfect solution to taking vinyl and storing and burning cds, you get a nice clean signal ... used for now with amplified speakers ...sounds like a concert...seems good quality no brainer hookup, plugs in, make sound!!!!And a great price..

I made the mistake of assuming because the this item was designated :Amazon's Choice" that the sound quality would be reasoably good.

In turn, thid connected the turntable's output directly to the computer's (integrated) sound card, thereby giving me much better sound quality than imputing through a USB port (and saving me much money over having to purchase a USB turntable).

If you turn up the speakers loud enough and drown out the humming/drone the sound quality is pretty good with limited interference
