Like most cheap Chinese mics the capsule produces a bright sound, certainly brighter than the 57 it's modeled after, which by itself can be totally fine, but you start to stack these guys up in a mix it becomes an icepick assault on your eardrums
-
Good sound for the price!
-
Honestly, a decent sounding, well built mic
-
Sound is clear and bright, but not shrill, very solid construction, and in the recent revision it is balanced if you use your own xlr-xlr cable
-
That means you could just thrown it away if it breaks the sound on these Chinese mics is amazing nowadays.
-

this is a good sounding mic at a great price
-
I bought this microphone simply and almost only because of its great price hoping it would not break on me, distort any sounds or cause impairing feedback while on stage
-
I am a total sound snob and when I play, I NEED my sound to be as perfect as I can possible get it
-
Great Mic, low feedback and clear punchy sound
-
Some say the SM57 has a "dull" sound due to it producing "safe" frequencies as not to cause issues on stage
-
This mike with a proper cable was the best sound out of the four.
-
If you're looking to just plug and play and have a good sound, look elsewhere
-
First, they produce a well rounded robust sound out of the box without any modifications.
-
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great sound but not wanting to break the bank.
-
Comparing it to my Shure SM58, the sound is brighter, more comparable to my old EV mic
-
amazing sound, matches with my sm57's for recording my guitar cab, just rewire it to work right with 3 pin.
-
Also not as muddy sounding with the same EQ setting
-

Run it through some compression, EQ, and maybe some saturation for a great sound.

I have several very good microphones of various types, including a couple excellent Rode microphones for vocals and acoustic guitars, but I actually needed a "cheap-sounding" mic for a special purpose.
-
It probably works better for louder fuller sounds, little lacking in the higher
-
crisp high sound
