The frame needs some extra support to stiffen it up if you are going to take it on and off the wall on a regular basis.

Pins poke out dents on the aluminized back of the board but the frame keeps it far enough away from the wall to prevent contact with the wall.

Working out of a home office I can decorate with nice framed pictures and such on the main walls, but at the same time have a very functional bulletin board that sits low on the wall just above my desktop.

It was just a shiny silver material that push pins were poking through.

The included screws and braces make it pretty easy to install, and pretty secure, although since it hangs only via these braces at the top, the bottom isn't flush with the wall, and so when I insert thumb tacks, it has some play that makes it feel not quite a permanent fixture

As it turns out, the employee who was handling my case had left the company and I was left in limbo with this defective product.

I will say though that you have to be at least a little handy to be able to secure the product on a wall per the instructions

In actuality, having the installer drill the holes provides for greater flexibility in the installation process (for example, if a hole you drilled in a concrete classroom wall was off by a tiny amount, the holes on the board can be adjusted accordingly).So, I like the product; I am just surprised that the size is misrepresented.

Also the cork board seems to be of good quality (maybe not great but after all the thing is huge and not much more than $100 shipped) and takes regular thumbtacks no problem which was a concern I had from some other reviews

I had no problem pushing standard push-pins all the way in to the cork-covered board material (a cheap fiberboard)
